Silvester Mtambo is a proficient expert with a
Master's Degree in Business Administration,
a Professional Post-graduate Diploma in Marketing,
and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Hospitality
Management, all obtained from reputable institutions
such as the Management College of Southern Africa
(Mancosa) in South Africa, the Chartered Institute of
Marketers (CIM) in the United Kingdom, and
Mzuzu University (MZUNI) in Malawi. With over
twenty-eight years of professional experience in
Tourism and Hospitality Management,
Silvester
has gained invaluable expertise in various areas
of the industry. Specifically, his experience lies
in Hotel Operations Management, Strategy Development
and Implementation, Strategic Marketing, Project
Management, Product Development and Capacity Building. Having held various managerial positions, overseeing hotel construction projects and establishing several businesses as an entrepreneur, Silvester brings extensive professional experience to the Tourism and Hospitality Industry encompassing infrastructural development and financing, project viability and feasibility assessments, human capital training and development, hospitality entrepreneurship, strategy processes, and hotel operations management.
Silvester's previous projects include concept
and infrastructural design works for Maflo Hotels limited in Malawi, research work for Mangochi Tourism Association for business negotiations with the Malawi Government and championing strategy for Sunbird Tourism PLC Ltd.
Dr. Ngoni Courage Shereni, an individual of great
accomplishment, obtained a PhD in Tourism and
Hospitality from the prestigious University of
Johannesburg in South Africa.
He is an early-career researcher with a focus
on sustainability and climate change issues.
Dr. Shereni research interests encompass a
diverse range of topics, including climate
change, sustainable tourism,
Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
in the tourism industry, gender equality
issues, and Community-based Natural Resources
Management (CBNRM) practices,
among others. With over five years of experience in the hospitality industry in Zimbabwe, coupled with ten years of lecturing experience at a tertiary level, Dr. Shereni is a highly experienced and knowledgeable professional. Currently, he serves as a faculty member at Lupane State University in Zimbabwe, where he teaches tourism and hospitality management at the undergraduate level. Moreover, he holds a Climate Friendly Travel (CFT) Diploma awarded by SUNx Malta, in conjunction with the Institute of Tourism Studies of Malta. His key competencies include undertaking academic research, data collection and analysis, tourism and hospitality training, destination management, destination marketing, and hotel management.
Maduo Mpolokang is a published academic author &
Socio-Environmental Consultant holding an MSc in
Environmental Science from University of Botswana.
He has extensive experience in consultancy works
as he has worked on national projects such as
Developing the Botswana National Sanitation
Strategy and Action Plan. Besides,
Maduo has worked as a Teaching Assistant
at the Department of Environmental Science,
University of Botswana for a period of three years.
His research interests revolve around environmental
management,
wildlife-based tourism,
community-based tourism and sustainability management.
Mpolokang has published a few papers in local and international publishing outlets and also presented his work in international scientific conferences.
Mathews Lambulira is an accomplished professional with expertise in the fields of tourism
product design and planning, general tourism planning and development. He holds a Master of
Science in tourism management from Bournemouth University (United Kingdom) and a Bachelor
of Science in Tourism from Mzuzu University (Malawi). His extensive experience spans
tourism product development, tourism planning and development, development and
management of tourist
attractions, ecotourism development and management,
community-based tourism, and tourism policy formulation. He is also well versed
in entrepreneurship and business management of tourism businesses. Presently,
Mathews is a distinguished lecturer of tourism development and management at Mzuzu University,
demonstrating his versatility in the areas of tourism training and education,
as well as research. His notable achievements include consultancy
work for prominent organizations such as the UNESCO Region Office for South Africa (ROSA),
Sunbird Tourism Limited (Malawi), Howarth HTL Interconsult Limited (Rwanda), and
Flame tree initiative (USA).
